The Return

Hello friends!

It has been days weeks  months (yes, I think months) since the last time I actually wrote on here. Life happens, I guess one could say.  The world stops turning for nobody although we each have those moments that make us beg that it would.  Life can be easy to love at times, and all the other times are spent waiting until it is worthy of loving again.  Well, this is me loving my life. Again.

I took what was an indefinite hiatus from this part of my life which gave me the opportunity to step back and look at where I was and where I hoped to be.  All things, good or bad, must come to an end at some point, and this marks the end of my hiatus and the beginning of projects soon to come.

2014.

This year has already started off so amazing.  I've challenged myself creatively but not to the point where it becomes hard to enjoy yourself.  I've devoted myself to more time away from the computer (hence less blog posts) and I love it.  I miss blogging and want to get back into my groove but it was so nice to take a month's break and see what I missed and see what I'm glad I didn't have to do anymore. In other words, I'm back :)

Here are some odds and ends that didn't exactly have a set to be put in, but I definitely wanted to share with you.  Do enjoy. xxx

2014. 

I år har redan började så fantastiskt. Jag har utmanat mig själv kreativt, men inte till den grad att det blir svårt att njuta. Jag har ägnat mig åt mer tid borta från datorn (därav mindre blogginlägg) och jag älskar det. Jag saknar att blogga och vill komma tillbaka in i mitt spår, men det var så trevligt att ta en månads paus och se vad jag missat och se vad jag är glad att jag inte behövde göra längre. Med andra ord, jag är tillbaka! :)

Do We Truly Believe?

"Jessica, what inspires you?" and "How do you edit your photos and what do you use?"  have been questions I have been getting more commonly lately and I'm very humbled to see that people ask me instead of a seasoned professional.  I quite love all of my Instagram followers!  They are dear to my heart because without them I wouldn't have continued with this passion of mine and that is something I could never take for granted.  While editing this photo, I created a video just to answer your questions.  I may not come right out and say what inspires me but in the way I manipulate my photographs tells much more of what inspires me than words could explain.  I do hope you enjoy this and more than that I hope it helps someone who may not be too handy in photoshop yet!  :)

Here is a quick little video to show how we plan and really plan it out instead of winging it! I love working with Kelsi because she always has her input and doesn't say "Oh, it doesn't matter to me," or, "I don't care," when I ask her questions about what she wants from the shoot.  We always do so good because of that honesty she has!  Hope you enjoy it. :)

Fairytale Living

This was my first out of three days spent with the one and only ROSIE HARDY!  Shooting with her, staying with her, and of course editing with her!  She is such a doll and I feel like I walked away from the experience with a new friend that I really care for!  She's so kind and a joy to spend time with.  Her enthusiasm about photography and life in general just puts a smile on your face and is one of those people who can cause you to be in the best mood of your life!! :D  These are my three final images from the first day of shooting with her!  I'll post day two and three soon (as quick as I'm done editing them they will be up)  This has been the most amazing experience for me, I can't even stop smiling!  Hope you enjoy these shots.
