Blessings

I am currently laying in the window sill of our beautiful hotel in Hollywood looking out to see the silhouette of downtown Los Angeles, the Hollywood hills, and the hustle and bustle of traffic.  It is moments like these when I am with my mom just enjoying the small things of the big things she does for me that make me realize how wonderful my life truly is.

What brings us to LA?  Spring break? No, actually not.  It was my birthday present to have a workshop with the one and only Brian Oldham whose work I have admired since before I began my photography adventure.  Tomorrow we are shooting then Friday we will be editing.  I am so excited to learn and expand my knowledge but the memories will last forever.

I got a dozen beautiful roses from someone who means a lot to me Sunday night after having a bad CRPS flare up.  We left home yesterday so I really didn't have much time to enjoy them.  So of course I got up before dawn to take photos with them with the golden sun to my back.  There were patches of snow left in the woods and all the branches and twigs were covered with ice which just glistened in the morning sun.  Once again, it is moments like these when I realize how blessed I am.
